1. Bottom line up front: This DVD player is ideal – it is light, great battery life, evolved smart design, and looks great. It has a faux black leatherlike coating on the screen backing and the black matte finish to the player which looks cool and doesn’t distract from the movie. The hinge that rotates the player from tablet-like flat to most any angle is strong and well hinged – looks like it would survive a fall. The picture is perfect without any adjustments; however, there is a button that adjusts for daylight and moonlight viewing as well as a a button to adjust brightness and color manually. The main menu allows several video adjustments (I used full digital noise reduction and full depth enhancer). Also, I enable bass boost, dialogue enhancer and sound enhancer and use Headphones Enhanced from the speaker/headphone menu. The buttons at the bottom of the player are easy to use and clearly marked for playback and the center button to the right of the dvd door allows up down and side to side menu navigation. I like a small button just above play that lets you advance the movie frame by frame with each push of the button and then hit play to resume. The picture is tight and not pixelated to my eyes.
2. Just returned from a two-week trip to London and Paris: this unit was a winner. Both kids were able to watch movies at the same time which reduced the wear and tear on Mom and Dad. No issues with 250V/50Hz power. It’s small, light and has excellent battery life. Don’t waste your time on the ultra-cheap units: buy this one and be happy.

Apart from being a portable player of DVD video and CD audio discs, Toshiba SDP1900 has a large 9 inch TFT LCD widescreen display and a rechargeable battery that delivers up to 3.5 hours of playback. This interactive DVD player also has a feature to select an area of the picture to zoom in on and magnify. Enhanced digital processing during moving video or freeze-frame playback can be used to expand letterbox-only films to increase the viewable area onscreen. The 3D Virtual Surround Sound provides simulated surround sound effect from sources that contain only a stereo soundtrack. Perfect with the headphone output jacks. It comes with a rechargeable battery, an AC adapter, and a Car Cord for use virtually anywhere. It’s a great way to keep your children entertained on long car trips.

1. I purchased this unit for my wife to help her uneasiness with flying. She has really enjoyed all of the features on the player, but wished that the volume level were higher. Even using Bose noise canceling over-the-ear headphones, she found it sometimes difficult to hear over airplane engine noise. The image quality is great. Very stylish design conveys its high quality level – definitely not a cheap “disposable” unit. The glossy black case, however, tends to show fingerprints pretty easily.
2. I bought the Toshiba SD-P1900 9″ Portable DVD Player for my 3 year old daughter who loves “Dora the Explorer” and it’s been a great success on long trips.
On the plus side, it’s sleek and black and the 9″ display is nice and clear. It’s bright enough to be seen in sunlight and comes with a handy remote control. I especially love the fact that it can play MP3 and DivX formats, both of which I use widely. Also, the dual headphone jacks and video outputs were great and allow me to hookup the player to my TV (haven’t done it yet). The battery life was sufficient but it didn’t matter – thanks to the ready car and AC adapters available with the unit.
The only negative things about this player – 1> the outer casing is too polished and highly prone to finger prints (be especially careful when using in the unit in your car as your hands tend to be dirtier) 2> the lack of a built in carry-use-bag – you need to buy that separately (costs about $20 at Walmart) and 3> the remote has too many buttons and is a bit cluttered.

1. After 8hrs on the plane the past few days, i need to purchase a second pair for my wife. for the price, the performance is amazing. My only complaint (if you can call it one) is after a few hours they seem to press kind of hard on my ears. Sound quality is fantastic. works well with my portable dvd player.
2. I didn’t realize over the ear headphones could sound so great. I tried these for the first time on flight to the west coast. They did a great cancelling out the noise on a loud commuter flight and were perfect for the jet flight. I could finally enjoy a movie on my laptop without the constant background noise from the airplane. Bass, midrange and trebble were clear and crisp. For the price, you can’t go wrong.

1. We purchased this to keep the kids entertained on long trips and that’s exactly what it does! The headsets are a blessing and the picture is great (and the adjustability works well). Easily placed on a lap or attaches to the vehicle’s headrest. For the money I don’t think you’ll find a better product!
2. I had a portable dvd player for the past three or so years. It stopped working and so I decided to look for anther dvd player. I usually buy name brand products and never heard of Audiovok. I read a few reviews and bought the product. I got it and I loved it once I opened the case. Portable dvd players come with nothing just the dvd player. This set was $100 and comes with two headphones, a remote, a carrying case, and a few other items. I love the color and the speakers are really cool. I paid at least 140 for my other player and that didnt come with anything. Great dvd player and I highly recommend it.
