Nokia E51 Unlocked Phone with 2 MP Camera, 3G, Wi-Fi, MP3/Video Player, and MicroSD Slot–U.S. Version with Warranty (Black Steel)

Ideal for business-savvy globetrotters who require a full range of smartphone capabilities, broadband connectivity, and real-time access to your contacts, the stylish Nokia E51 brings it all together. This quad-band GSM/EDGE phone is also ready to run on 850 MHz/2100 MHz UMTS/HSDPA 3G networks (found in Europe, Australia and Asia), enabling fast downloads and streaming multimedia while on the go. It also includes integrated Wi-Fi connectivity (802.11b/g) for accessing open networks at work, at home, and on the road from a variety of wireless hotspots.
The candybar-style E51 is nicely slim at less than half-an-inch thin, and it features a large 2-inch LCD with support for 16.7 million colors for excellent depth. It’s based on S60 software operating on the Symbian OS, enabling you to personalize the E51 by choosing from a wide choice of compatible applications that can be downloaded–including games, navigation, entertainment, and productivity titles. Other features include a 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth connectivity for both communication headsets and stereo music streaming, MicroSD expansion, MP3 player, FM radio, and up to 4.4 hours of talk time.
The thin, stainless steel E51 has a 2-inch QVGA display (240 x 320 pixels) with an amazing depth of 16.7 million colors. It includes an ambient light sensor and an LED light indicator that can be customized to let you know of missed calls or incoming emails and text messages. It has a standard numeric keypad as well as several One Touch keys that provide direct access to functions, including email, Bluetooth, and the Home screen.

Customer feedback:

1. The E51 is sleek, built for style and productivity…a rare combination that means popularity with true merit. So I’m quite puzzled that this phone isn’t being pushed as much as the N95. It’s got the right dimensions, not too heavy in the shirt pocket, feels good in my hand, the keypad has excellent touch and layout with 1-press keys for Calendar, Contacts, Email, Bluetooth (on/off) and Silent/General mode.
It’s real cool that the 1-press keys for Calendar, Contacts and Email have different modes. Short press starts the app (Calendar, Contacts, Email). Long press starts a new record within the app (new calendar entry, new contact, new message). I’ve re-assigned the 1-press key for Email to start the Messaging app, and long press starts the CryptoGraf Messaging app to encrypt my messages.

2. Most of the cameras today are aimed either for kids (like the chocolate), fashion conscious adults (the big hit razr), or business people (the bulky blackberry or treo). What if i want a phone that is sleek but also loaded with all the important business tools? well the E51 was a Godsend. This sleek phone comes with high speed 3G internet and WiFi connection. Gone are the days paying $15 to connect to the internet at airports and hotels. Simply use the mini usb cable or download a symbian based modem application and you can use your phone as your modem.
The camera is decent (2mb) and since micro sd cards are so cheap nowadays (i bought a 4gb Kingston one at Amazon for $14) you can use this phone also as a portable mp3 player (stereo ear phones included).

Nokia E63-2 Unlocked Phone with 2 MP Camera, 3G, Wi-Fi, Media Player, and MicroSD Slot–U.S. Version with Warranty (Ultramarine Blue)

Designed for people who need to manage their business and personal lives equally well, the Nokia E63 is a more affordable sibling of the popular E71 mobile phone and it features many of the same features but in a plastic case rather than metal. With the E63, you’ll be able to easily stay on top of your email inbox with a full QWERTY keyboard and support for corporate communication via Microsoft Exchange. It’s ready to run on 3G networks here in the U.S. (850/1900 MHz UMTS), enabling fast downloads and streaming multimedia while on the go
It includes integrated Wi-Fi connectivity (802.11b/g) for accessing open networks at work, at home, and on the road as well as connecting to Voice over IP (VoIP) internet telephony services. Other features include a 2-megapixel camera/camcorder, Bluetooth for handsfree devices and stereo music streaming, MicroSD memory expansion (up to 8 GB), built-in Nokia Maps application, 3.5mm headset jack, and up to 10.5 hours of talk time on standard GSM networks.
Additionally, this version of the E63 (E63-2) can be paired with 850/1900 MHz UMTS 3G networks in the United States. When paired with a compatible 3G network, you’ll enjoy a high-speed connection offering a variety of feature-rich wireless services–from data connectivity to your office to multimedia streaming, and take advantage of simultaneous voice and data services. In areas in the U.S. not served by a 3G network or in foreign territories, you’ll continue to receive data service via EDGE network (depending on network compatibility).

Customer feedback:

1. I’ve had the E63-2 (North American Version) for a few days now, and am really loving this phone so far. It’s my first Symbian (S60) phone, so I was a little hesitant about the learning curve. And to be honest — it’s not anywhere near as intuitive as the iPhone or Android. But if you’re a little bit tech savvy, it won’t be a problem at all.
The phone feels great in hand. I’ve held the E63′s big brother, the E71, and I prefer this one better. The rubberized plastic doesn’t feel cheap at all, offers a superior grip, and maybe best of all, doesn’t get all smudged up with fingerprints. It’s still relatively slim, though not as sleek as the E71. But again, I prefer it — it’s just easier to hold.
The QWERTY is nicely designed, and the keys feel great to push. Numerically, the “0″ is to the right of the “9″ instead of underneath the “8,” which is kind of jarring at first, but I got used to it. Another design annoyance is the lack of a volume rocker on the side… you have to use the D-Pad, which means taking the phone away from your ear mid-conversation. No dedicated camera button either, but that didn’t bother me much at all — you can take a picture in two button clicks away from the home screen.

2. The “Remote lock” is a great feature, and it is very easy to setup. First, you need to setup the “lock code” of this phone (after setup, write it down). Then enable the “Allow Remote lock” feature, it will ask a lock code again; it can be the same code in the FIRST step or a different one. If you lost your phone or simply forget your phone in the office; just grab another phone and send a text message to your phone, the message is the lock code. The message must contain the exactly same lock code, case must be matched and no extra space. Use another phone to send a text message is the best way to do it; some computer programs can send a text message to a wireless phone, but it tends to add some extra text in the message automatically, this will fail to lock the phone.

Customer feedback:

1. The glossy LED display offers excellent color and contrast when used indoors. I was also pleasantly surprised with the excellent horizontal viewing angles. Keep in mind that once you get in a room full of light or step outdoors screen reflections could become annoying. I’ve used mine outside on a sunny day, and the screen is still very much legible. In fact it was much more detailed than the matte screen on my Dell D600.
All three units come with the Digital Array Mic which consists of two powerful microphones. Ambient background noises are eliminated, as well as reduced echoes for clearer voice recording. What’s more, with only direct sound (within 60°) recorded, you’ll obtain better voice capture. I’ve tested the mic with Skype, and it’s loud and clear once you fine tune using the Realtek HD Audio manager. All models also include a WiFi 802.11 b/g/n adapter and 160GB 5400RPM hard drive. My 1005HA-P contains a Hitachi HTS543216L9SA00 hard drive and Atheros AR9285 wifi card. Atheros chipsets are known for excellent range and are typically less prone to connection drops. I’d like to point out that the AR9285 is only capable of 150Mbps.

2. Bought this netbook for our upcoming trip to Europe, immediately tried to install Windows 7 RC on it, worked PERFECTLY. I highly recommend buying the 2GB RAM upgrade (I went with the Amazon recommended 2GB 667mhz crucial module), best $20 you’ll ever spend. All drivers installed fine on Win7, Aero is enabled, everything is very snappy. Can’t wait to take this thing on the road.

Customer feedback:

1. Let me start by saying I wanted the blue one because I felt like white would be too cheap looking. White isn’t my first choice for a laptop color, but i think this is passable. I decided to take the white one rather than wait around for whenever the blue one is released.
I love this machine. The day-to-day tasks are peppy and it behaves like a normal Windows XP machine. I have purchased a RAM upgrade and am waiting for my 2GB stick to arrive, but I have been using it with the 1GB installed and haven’t had any issues. The main uses for this machine I see are internet, office, and other such basic tasks. However, I also maintain a couple websites and was able to install Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 and noticed no difference in performance on this machine from my powerful desktop.
The fit and finish are excellent. Keyboard keys are sturdy and snappy. The USB ports are tight, in a good way, and provide a sense of quality when you plug things in. The screen is bright, bright enough that I often dim it a notch or two due to eye fatigue (which is normally not a problem for me).

2. I really love the whole experience of owning one of these. The battery life is amazing with 7 hours and more. The experience of daily surfing on the go in style is so helpful and enjoyable. If you are on the go and have time between appointments it can really change the way you do business online. You can display products to anyone, learn Tai Chi outside or just in your mind. Just brilliant.
