ClearStream antennas represent a breakthrough in size and unmatched ultra efficient design and directionality. Advanced design software allows these 20″ x 28″ antennas to be smaller and powerful across the core UHF DTV spectrum offering consistent high gain. This advancement in antenna efficiency allows up to 98% of the available broadcast signal to actually reach the incoming antenna cable rather than being lost to impedance mismatches. The ClearStream4 quad-loop design receives all core DTV channels available with a range up to 65 +miles. There is also additional capability on higher level VHF frequencies. They are engineered for extra strength and durability, using anodized aluminum for corrosion resistance and are easy to assemble.

1. I’ve been using a DB4 antenna for about a year and a half, and it was OK. It was connected to a 4-port amp, which outputs to a pair of HDHomeRuns. Out of the ~15 HD stations in my area, I could get a good signal on ~4 of them at a time (depending on how the antenna was pointed), marginal on 3-4, and the rest were totally unusable. I finally got tired of this, and was about to purchase a DB8, when I noticed this little beauty. I figured I couldn’t go too far wrong, and ordered it. After 5 minutes for assembly and 5 minutes to mount it in the attic (just guessed which direction to point it — the wide beam on this antenna is wonderful), 13 of the 15 stations get near-perfect reception (>90% signal, >90% SNR); the other two are good (>70% on both). WOW – what an improvement, especially for an antenna that is only slightly larger than the DB4!
2. Absolutely the best antenna for DTV reception on the market! I upgraded from a DB4 in hopes of getting reception out of market and it easily locked in all the local stations at a distance of 40 miles, But I was blown away at how well it captured many stations from a town over 100 miles away. I live on a hill so that obviously helps and your mileage may vary, but I never had as much consistent long range reception with any other antenna. Another plus, it’s no larger than a DB4.
One tip: The position of the binding posts used to attach the buss bars do not leave much room to tighten the wing nuts, so connect both sets of tapered loops with the buss bars, first, before assembling the rest of the antenna. That should make things easier.

There is nothing worse than having a great TV to watch your favorite programs, while having a grainy or pixilated (digital cable) picture. Motorola BDA amplifiers give your TV signal a boost while maintaining full compatibility with all of your cable services. Simply install the BDA-S4 where your cable or antenna comes into your house and begin enjoying a better picture, faster downloads, and a more reliable HD or Digital TV signal. With a name like Motorola, how can you go wrong? The BDA-S4 is fully compatible with all cable TV standards, cable boxes, cable modems, routers, HDTV and more.
Technical Details:
The BDA-S4 is a bi-directional cable TV amplifier designed for use in homes. Boosts signal by 12x.
This is the 4-port commercial version of the Motorola Signal Booster 484095-001-00.
A passive return path supports multiple broadband devices such as set-top boxes and cable modems.
Meets all applicable IEEE surge standards for all output ports, which enhances system reliability.
Weather seal and protective coating allow use of the amplifier for indoor or outdoor applications.
Customer feedback:
1. This is the 4-port version of the Motorola Signal Booster, combining that product’s high-quality 15 dB cable/antenna drop amplifier with an integrated 4-port splitter so you can use this device with up to four TVs (or a cable modem and three TVs) without having to buy a separate high-bandwidth signal splitter.
So who would benefit from a cable amplifier like this? Anyone who is having difficulty receiving a solid and reliable cable TV or cable modem signal is a candidate for the BDA-S4. But first check with your cable company to make sure they have done all they can to get a high quality cable feed into your home, with high quality cables, splitters and connectors. If they’ve “been there, done that,” and you still notice frequent outages of your cable internet service, or pixilated (distorted) images on live or recorded TV shows from cable, then you may very well need a drop amp like this one.
2. This dramatically improved the reception in my house. I have Insight Cable (Ohio) and have always had several snowy channels. The cable company had been out but said there was nothing they could do, as some channels just get poor reception. To make matters worse, I recently added five new splices for a total of 10. Several TV’s had terrible reception. I chose this model so I could run the main cable input into the booster and then each output to a splitter. The main cable line enters the house into a finished office so I also liked how the unit was powered, too. It works absolutely fantastic. All TV’s now have excellent reception. I just cannot believe that this solved my issues. It seems very well made and sturdy and it’s actually pretty neat how it works. The power source is an inverter that translates the house electric to 12V. You plug it into your outlet and then run an R59 or R6 coaxial cable from the power source to the amplifier/booster. So I just fished a new cable line in the wall near my outlet to power it, as opposed to having to deal with installing a new outlet near my cable input. I have broadband internet coming through my cable and have seen no interference or problems with that. It was always pretty good so I’m unsure if there was any improvement. To me this was well worth the money.

1. Ravage is just plain awesome!!! What a toy! His cat mode is both G1 accurate yet it has that scary viscous side that the new movie line figures are known for. He is honestly my favorite deluxe of the “Revenge of the Fallen” line and currently sits on my display shelf with his buddy Generation one Soundwave.
2. Obviously not educational, but definitely a must buy, he looks great and i love the colors, even though his eye is purple when it should be orange, i love him all the way, no real complaints with the toys performance, but i would have loved a Reedman mini-figure ( razor-thin side-kick to Ravage) Very movie accurate!

Customer feedback:
1. Ever since my cable company installed digital cable in my house I have had picture problems. The analog pictures were grainy and half of the digital pictures didn’t come in. They just said they would arrive shortly but never did. Numerous calls to the cable company failed to come up with a permanent fix. So I decided to take matters in my own hands. Other boosters made things worse. When I saw that this one worked with digital as well as analog I decided to give it a try. I first hooked it up from the cable box to the vcr and got no improvement. So I tried hooking it up where the signal first came in before the cable reciever and it worked beautifully. Analog pictures are clearer than ever and all the digital pictures come in. No more “Please Wait” screens.
2. Prior to purchasing the Motorola amp, I purchased and installed the TERK AMP-15, which worked very well (until the cable company did a disconnect recently and apparently short-circuited the input). Upon reconnecting my cable service, the cable-tv tech noted that my TERK AMP-15 was no longer working. Rather than just order another TERK, I decided to check the alternatives. Checking the specs, I noticed the Motorola Signal Booster is a similar product, however the specs are much better (2.5 dB max Noise Figure vs. 3.5 dB max for the TERK) and the Motorola uses the most advanced technology available (Gallium Arsenide). Also, the Motorola amp includes a 6kV surge resistant design (meets the 6kV IEEE C62.41-1991 and 1 kV Combination Wave surge for all ports).
