The MZ-N510CK Net MD Walkman recorder has everything needed to create great-sounding music mixes. In addition to transferring music at up to 32x speed (using its LP4 mode), the unit’s SonicStage Jukebox software stores and manages digital music files, custom playlists, and music transfers. Bookmarking lets you program favorite songs in real time during playback, and supplied car accessories turn a vehicle into a personal music club.
The MZ-N510CK offers high-speed transfer from a PC via a direct USB connection, and it can record more than five hours of music on one 80-minute minidisc (using LP4 mode). It also uses Sony’s skip-free G-Protection technology, which eliminates or reduces skipping during many active uses. The MZ-N510CK is compatible with the RealOne music player and the pressplay.com online music subscription service. It plays back ATRAC3 files and supports multiple Internet audio formats, including MP3, WMA, and WAV.
Besides the bundled SonicStage software and SonicStage simple burner application, the MZ-N510CK includes MoodLogic software, which goes beyond typical jukebox applications, letting you compile music by mood or tempo rather than simply by artists and song titles. MoodLogic corrects file information by identifying and retitling mislabeled tracks during ID3 tag cleaning. It also has a feature called Music Marker, which lets you “tag” music during playback. Once the device is reconnected to a PC, MoodLogic retrieves the marks, connects to the Musiclub Web site, and provides you with information about the song and artist and links to download new tracks, purchase CDs, or discover similar artists. The unit provides up to 56 hours of continuous playback on one AA battery and comes with a Remote Commander control and an AC adapter.

Great product. I wish I had discovered minidisc technology years ago. I purchase this for one reason (descrete, portable recording), but ended up using it mostly for another reason (music playback).
It’s not perfect. I wish it had the AM/FM turer. I would also have been nice to record off a mike, but it has a line input and you can run your mike(s) thru a mixer if you really need to record “live”.
Recordings made thru the line-input cannot be uploaded to your computer either.
But what it does it does very, very well. A single 80 min disc can hold (at maximum compression) well over 5 hours of music! It only needs a single AA cell, and that lasts for over 50 hours on playback. Well worth the money.

It easily synced with my phone, so setup was a snap. I use it in two different cars – a Honda CRV and a Honda Del Sol (my sunny day fun car). The sound is good and people on the other end seem to have no trouble understanding me. I’ve used it when I had the top off of the Del Sol – it had some minor difficulty due to wind noise, but it worked. I like that it works with the voice commands of my phone. I haven’t had to use the charge cord yet – it had enough power in the battery for setup and then I mounted it in the windshield to use the solar charging.

I mount it a little below and to the left (driver’s side) of the rear view mirror – this limits the amount of windshield view that is “blocked” (in case a cop finds an issue with something mounted on my windshield) since the mirror covers the top half of the device from my viewpoint as a driver. That placement also easily allows me to reach it with my right hand to press the button to make or receive calls.

I use this camera to protect myself from the lousy/agressive drivers in our area that seem to be growing by leaps and bounds. I have been using the camera for about a month now with an 8 GB card. Using the default video settings (mid range for capture) the 8 GB card stores about 3 hours of good quality video. The 120 degree field of view can capture the traffic lights even if you are at the stop line. Very Strong Sun Glare did not harm the camera although the objects were all darkened since they were all backlit. Night time capture is adequate based off of the headlights but don’t expect daytime capture.
The auto start/stop and auto rollover works as advertised. The products instructions are really poor.

The highs and lows are much more crisp and clearer to go along with my factory system. The bass thumps pretty good without an amp too. After reading many reviews and comparing other speakers, the Alpines were the way to go. It was not just based on price (which was a great deal by the way) but also on reputation & quality. Installation was easy and only took about an hour to install 4 speakers to the front & rear doors.
I’ve been underdriving them with a 52 (peak) X 4 headunit and they still respond pretty darn good and have alot of bass for the size. Unfortunatly my headunit isn’t allowing these babies to shine so I’ve invested in an Amplifier. I know it’s going tobe the second night and day upgrade since I put the speakers in to replace my factory ones.
I recommend these.
